for Japan with love

Hi, friends! I'm feeling very fortunate today, yet with a heavy heart. I know everyone's thoughts have been gravitating to the people suffering. The earthquake and tsunamis have grabbed all of our attention. And now is the time to act. As most of you know, the blogosphere can be an amazing tool for helping those in need. Lydia of Ever Ours and the ladies of Utterly Engaged have teamed up to bring support to those in need. And the wedding blog world is behind them 100%. The good news? You can help too!

ShelterBox is a company that has been asked to help in the early relief stages in Japan. Each large, green ShelterBox is tailored to a disaster but typically contains a disaster relief tent for an extended family, blankets, water storage and purification equipment, cooking utensils, a stove, a basic tool kit, a children’s activity pack and other vital items. Please visit www.forjapanwithlove.com and click on the + sign to donate today! A first giving page has been set up to safely & securely collect donations in this effort.

Also, many bloggers will be serving a day of silence this coming Friday, in effort to focus on helping in other ways. I plan to use this day to organize my office's awareness of the situation and collect funds to send toward the aid efforts in Japan. What will you be doing?

I hope you will take the time to donate and send positive thoughts to everyone that has been touched by this disaster.

xoxo,
Kat
